Meet The Owner
Michael grew up and resides in Etobicoke and has two daughters with wife Katie (and two dogs!)
Michael has been a craftsperson in the painting trade for more than 30 years. His work has been featured in home magazines and has won awards.
This is Michael the owner here. Just wanted to let you know about some of our core values and how they relate to you, our potential client!
Core Values For Court-Hampton Painting Inc.
- Be A Guest– We work in the most important and intimate space in people’s lives: their home. We always remember that we are a guest in a home, and it is a privilege to have been invited into a home to work. We never take a client’s home or belongings for granted, and we treat everything with the utmost care and concern.
- Gain & Maintain Trust– It is imperative for the success of our organization that each team member gains and maintains the trust of clients. All of our craftspeople are employees (not subtrades) that have been background checked and highly trained.
- Quality Always Wins– We have very high standards for quality. We inspect our work at the completion of each stage and at the end of each day with a checklist to ensure quality. In fact we have never met a client that is as picky as our owner Michael!
I hope this helps illustrate how much we love our craft and how intentional we are when practicing it!
We aren’t Franchise or Discount painters. We are your Local Family Painting Company.

Michael is friendly and honest. He knows his stuff. He was upfront with me - willing to patch my plaster ceiling but indicated I'd be better off long term getting someone else to do a full replacement rather than just a patch.
We secured several quotes for our paint job. Michael's quote was competitive. The workmanship, timing to complete the job was well within our expectation. We're very pleased with Michael's work.
I highly recommend Michael for any painting or plastering job you have. After calling several painters/drywallers and being turned down due to the fact there was some plaster repair required, Michael came and agreed to take on the job. He charged a fair price, came three days in a row during the Christmas Break, and did an exceptional job repairing ceiling plaster cracks. He took moisture readings to ensure there was no moisture problem and explained exactly what he would do every step of the way. I can't be happier with the final result. It looks like there was never any cracks to begin with. A true craftsman who takes pride in his work.
It is difficult to find trades that take their time and want to do a good job. I am happy we selected Court-Hampton Painting to complete interior painting of our house and a special project staining a pine ceiling. Michael was able to provide solutions in terms of stain to select and delivered the project in the budget.
Michael was very professional & detail conscious from start to finish. His workmanship is excellent. Very pleased with the end result of our 2 storey hallway & alcove.
Court-Hampton did a great job! We had some water damage on our plaster in a few areas of the house and they carefully removed the damaged areas and restored it to perfection. They were very communicative, covered everything plastic, seamlessly blended in the repainted areas and left no trace. We'd DEFINITELY use them again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

How Does Complimentary Colour Consulting Work?
Here’s an explainer video with the owner Michael Court-Hampton on how our complimentary colour consulting program works for your Interior! (Don’t worry it’s super short!)
A typical colour consultation before our company paints your home is executed in the following steps:
- Once we are retained to paint the interior of your home we will show up to take a look at your current surroundings and ask about any new furniture, curtains, rugs, tiles, etc. that you may have ordered for the room and look at the new fabric samples. Looking at home magazine’s to help identify the “look” you are trying to achieve is helpful but not necessary.
- We will then help you choose three colours for the room from one of our paint swatch books. We can leave one of these books with you for a couple of days to come up with your own palette as we encourage you to try your eye at colour.
- We then get those three colours in actual paint samples (little cans). Those three colours are put up on the wall in 2×2 feet samples in different spots so you can observe the colours in different lighting conditions during the day. As paint is made of paint and paint swatches are made of ink ,this and natural lighting can greatly affect the colour perception in your room. We’ll pick up and put up the three paint samples for you, we only start to charge for consults if you go beyond three colours. Other than that colour consultation is free once you’ve decided to hire Court-Hampton Painting Inc. to paint more than two rooms of the interior of your house.
- You then choose and sign off on your final colour and we get painting!
